ENTREPRENEURSHIP

From Point A, to Point B.

Through formal coursework and competition, students create and enact business plans under the direction of RISE mentors.

While students learn about business and develop prototypes in our Maker’s Space, they then launch their business concepts into our storefront where they monitor sales through use of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.

Our rigorous curriculum covers small business financial literacy, the legal registration process, branding, marketing, product development, and inventory management.

Examples of recent student research and business ventures include the development and launch of the Restore Coffee Shop, production of a therapy dough infused with natural oils to calm the user, prototyping of a unique hydrating electrolyte drink for student athletes, and the creation of an all-natural goat’s milk soap brand.
